Girish Pant is a Dubai-based humanitarian and social worker recognized internationally for repatriating over 9,500 stranded Indians and other nationals. His unwavering dedication to helping those in distress earned him the prestigious Pravasi Bharatiya Sammanin 2019, the highest civilian award for NRIs/OCIs presented by the President of India.
Born and raised in Uttarakhand, Girish moved to Dubai where he witnessed firsthand the struggles of migrant workers and stranded individuals. What started as individual acts of kindness soon evolved into a systematic approach to humanitarian aid, helping people from various nationalities including Pakistan, Nigeria, Philippines, and many others.
His work has been recognized not just by the Government of India, but also by celebrities like Sonu Sood, who publicly thanked him for his rescue operations in Saudi Arabia.
